Every connection made with a Check Point Smart Center tool (i.e. Policy Editor, Log Viewer) results in a request to approve and accept the management console fingerprint. Even after accepting the fingerprint, subsequent connections will require you to approve it again.

The Smart Center tools need to be able to write the management console fingerprint to the registry. This problem usually occurs because the account running the Smart Center application does not have sufficient permissions to write to the registry. Test this by running the application as administrator and see if the error goes away.
