Default IPS in Check Point?

Hi there,

I would like to set up an IPS in our network. Can anyone suggest to me which Check Point product which is suitable for my requiremnet - an IPS.

CP supports Active defense technology in form of SmartDefense. u need to have subscription for the same. But in my view as i've not read fully on it. its basic IDS/IPS. u can also go for interspect for internet n/w and CP FW-1/VPN-1 for external N/W but for full features IDS/IPS go for Snort- free.

buy a Juniper IDP instead of checkpoint :P

good idea. but Snort is free. i feel fisr have hands on free products then u know what u need:)
