| Dear all, I'm planning to upgrade our firewall (enforcement + SmartCenter) to a better machine which has a dual-processor. Below are the detail of our present firewall : Enforcement server, Check Point NG AI R55 HFA17, Product code : CPVP-VFM-U-NG (running on Solaris 9) SmartCenter server, Check Point NG AI R55 HFA17, Product code : CPVP-VEE-U-NG (running on Windows XP Pro.) I would like to upgrade the enforcement server with SUN V240 with dual-processor and the SmartCenter server with also a Dual-processor. My question is does my current firewall supports dual processor on enforcement server as well as the SmartCenter server? Thanks for your advice. Regards, Al |

| My experience is that if your enforement module just do FW no VPN , you don't get any utilization on the second cpu , other than a greater possibility to "survive" an cpu failure (RAS) . /Geir |
