Default Source Port

Question:

What is the Source Port used for?
I am checking in my Checkpoint NGX R60 logs and trying to figure out what that is used for? Any thoughts?

Thanks.

Each TCP session have source and destination port. Destination port is named "service" in SmartViev tracker. Source port in named as is.

P.S. Do not tell you boos that you do not know what is the source Port or it will fire your you warm place :)
