Default CPRID process hangs when running cprestart

Hello,

We have a customer who is having an issue almost once a week where is does not allow them to login to the fw gui (r54). They get the error about 'access is denied, please make sure you are added as an authorized gui client' or something close to that. It is not an issue with them not being in the gui-clients list as we here at our office, who manage their firewall, cannot access either and get the same error. The fix is to run a cprestart. However we always have to run a cpstop and then when checking the processes (ps -ef | grep cp) the cprid process is still running so we have to manually kill it and then run a cpstart to reslove the issue.

Does anyone know any idea why this process continually hangs when running a cpstop? Also has anyone run across an issue like this where once or twice a week the fw will not allow access until a cprestart is done on the mgmt station. Thanks in advance for any help and if you need any additional info pls let me know.
