Default ndb_open: database 'magic number' corrupted

Hi,

i wanted to run "rs_db_tool -operation list" to get the daip table listing,
but it ended with error:

ndb_open: database 'magic number' corrupted(/opt/CPsuite-R60/fw1/conf/DAIP_RS_Database.NDB

after looking around in the logfiles i can find the same error in the $CPDIR/log/cpd.elg. This error appears each time we install a policy.
We have no problems installing policies but we cannot establish vpn tunnels form the corporate office to our daip VPN1 Edges, maybe this database corruption causes this ?

Any suggestions how to solve that problem ?

Kind regards,
Alex

Default Re: ndb_open: database 'magic number' corrupted

I've had similar problem with the session.NDB file. It was corrupted and VPN does not work.
CP sk11442 suggests in this case to stop the Mgmt, remove/rename the file, start the Mgmt and install the policy on the GW(s).

Maybe this procedure will help also in your case.

Ciao - Maurizio
