Default New to Checkpoint, need pointers.

Hello,

Two SecureGuard with Checkpoint Express (R60) were purchased for VPN purposes.
So far I've managed to install the licenses, and figure out how to use the Smartdashboard for firewall purposes.
I do have VPN experience as I've configured IPSEC VPNs on Cisco equipment as well as on Astaro security gateways.
Is there any getting started guide that pretty much explains how to get about setting up a VPN, or is that what the courses are for?
I have waded through the manuals online, however I have not been able to come to grips with this new interface.

Regards,
cbear

Check VPN guide on CheckPoint Site (CheckPoint_NGX_VPN.pdf). In this guide you can find general information about "VPN types" (site-to-site, domain based, etc) and sections about configuration VPN from DashBoard.
Also this guide exists on CD with Check Point.
And also you can read about VPN in SmartDashboard Help.

kva.kva thanks for your input.
One question on this matter as well, is it possible to connect a checkpoint device to a noncheckpoint device to create an IPSEC tunnel?

Regards,
cbear.
