Rule 998 errors DCE-RPC issues

I keep running into drop errors in smartview tracker on rule 998 when windows pcs try to connect to servers pass the firewall. i have upgraded to HFA_17 for R55 and no luck. Any suggestions that involve not turning of DCE-RCP check completely would be appreciated.
