Hi all, Just wondering what peoples preferences are to these two clustering types and why you would prefer one over another. Personally I think VRRP is better and makes troubleshooting a lot easier as its only through one router the traffic is active.... __________________ tdvit CCSA CCSE

Personally I prefer VRRP as it requires less to setup, also as I don't usually have any say in the equipment around the firewalls then VRRP tends to be more reliable and compatible with the switches around the boxes.

What i like about IPclustering is that you have the chance to make changes through cadmin in both members at the same time. Some of our clients have problems in Failover because of missing routes or Proxy ARP in the backuop member.
