As no one has responded I thought I would leave a little info here myself having just passed the PR1 NGX exam. 70 questions over 90 minutes, 70% pass mark. Loads of questions on Global policies, I mean loads. Make sure you know exactly what they are all about. Quite a lot on High Availablity Know what port CPMI uses, this question cam up twice, so two easy marks there. Know about licensing Know what the command line options are As for everything else, it's all the NGX course book. You might be a bit lost if you haven't got this. If I think of anything else, I will post here.

Hi tangerine0072000, Glad to know that you pass your last P1 NGX exam, that must have been a great mile stone in your life. I am currently working on taking this exam myself however, my problem is that I have a NG/AI manual and want to sit the NGX exam, sounds confusing. I use this NG/AI manual and simulate the labs using the NGX OS and Apps and was able to finish the labs however I did notice some variations but because of not having the NGX manual I would be unable to pin point the differences. Can you provide any advice and or dumps base on your last exam ? Thanks for your Update !! Regards Last edited by bronzelee; 2007-01-26 at 07:01.

Apparantly no one is sharing their knowledge when it comes to Provider-1 by offering any advice or information about the exam or their experience. Amazing! but true. cheers :)

Hi Folks, I passed the exam this morning. There were a lot of questions related to the P-1 documentation. I used an official documentation from a P-1 training and the P-1 user guide for preparing to the exam. It is enought. Regards, Pawel

70 questions over 120 minutes, 80% pass mark :-) Lots of question about MDG overview, Provider-1 deployment. Quite a lot about Global Policy assign and install. High Availablity on CMA, Smartcentter backup, MDS standby etc. Few questions about NOC firwall, migration from smartcenter to CMA. Licenses, logging to CLM and MLM/CLM, MDS installl Config. Ports: CPMI,CPRID. Commandline: mdscmd, start and stop CMA etc. And the most important thing, read the question carefully and understand them before you ansvar them. Understand the Checkpoint style of question.

Here is a useful study tip for Provider-1 - Go out to Check Point's SecureKnowledge and do a search on Provider-1. Most of the application exam questions come from actual SecureKnowledge solutions. This is true for almost all of the advanced certifications. kw
