Default NGX License question (nokia-splat)

Hi,

We've got two Nokias running NGX in HA and a management license.
(VPN-1 Pro Gateways for unlimited users - SmartCenter Enterprise)
For disaster recovery we're gonna put a SPLAT in another building with the same ip addressen of the nokia cluster.

Since the SPLAT will do nothing for most of the time (let's hope) we where thinking if there is a way to use the NGX license that we use now on the nokia to install on the SPLAT.
Who would only be active when somethings happens since our ISP will reroute in case of troubles.

Is this possible in some way to save the cost of an extra NGX license?

Cheers,

No the license for IPSO and the license for SPLAT is different. Besides that, it wouldn't be legal.

I agree you do require additional licenses, but, in my experience NG and NGX licenses are independant of platform.

I have on many occasions installed a check point license which in the usercentre is labeled as IPSO onto a windows or SPLAT system i.e. when upgrading a management server from nokia to SPLAT - I didn't adjust the usercentre info until after the hardware transfer - no issues todate with the licenses.
