Default Management Station/NAT

Guys,

Due to events beyond my control I have a requirement to re IP my NGX Management station and core firewall to a new public IP range. Although I have a good idea on how to achieve this, it has been suggested that we move the Management station to our internal DMZ and then NAT it. My only concern is the licensing requirements.

Do I re-license under the internal address or the public address. I suspect it would be the public address but would it (local license) attach to the management station if it is defined with an internal address? The license also contains a central license for the core firewall - I also have about 16 other firewalls to consider as well.

would appreciate any help

regards

Default Re: Management Station/NAT

The SmartCenter may be licenses to any of its interface. Do not license to a NAT address that will not work.

You should also switch to "Central" licenses so everything gets licensed to the SmartCenter.
