I would say 4, 1 for your smartcenter server and 1 for each gateway you want to manage

Yes you would need licenses for 1 SMARTCenter, and 3 Gateways, so a total of 4.

If this is for a new system then you can buy bundles of 1 SMARTCenter and 1 Gateway, along with 2 more gateway licenses. Your SMARTCenter would need to be able to manage at least 3 sites.

You then need to decide if going with UTM or Power.

Log into UserCenter

Ensure that all licenses are correctly licensed.

Select all licenses that you want to import

Click Get License and follow screens to download the CPLicense.lic file to your Desktop.

Open SMARTUpdate and select the License menu with Get License from File.

Select the downloaded file.

This will import the licenses to your repository and attach the Management License to the SMARTCenter.

Then select each gateway in the licensing tab in turn and right click and select attach license.

You then select the license from the screen that pops up and this attachs the license to the gateway.

I am assuming here that you already have installed the gateways and connected them upto the SMARTCenter.
