Default Expired licenses on a windows R54 cluster

Hi,

I am supporting an old fw customer at the moment (R54/ Windows cluster) and i saw that there are expired licenses of this type:

FW1:5.0:SDEF@15/07/2004 12:31:20, 1

CPMP-MEDIA-1-NG@ 01/10/2004 09:21:56, 0

The firewall seems to be operational, but i do not know if these expired licenses affects its full operational status. The setup is very basic with some rules and all the remaining functionalities are in default state.

Can anybody help me with this? Does the first one mean a smartdefense license? Any ideas for the second one?

When they try to use the online update they do not take any update at all..... Is it a problem if i detach it from the smartcenter?

Thanks,

Spyros

Default Re: Expired licenses on a windows R54 cluster

The first one is an old SmartDefense license. SmartDefense licenses are now tied to the User Center account that's used to retrieve the updates. If an online update didn't work, they aren't licensed for it any more.

The second one looks like an old eval license from the CD set.

You can detach each of them. I'd export them toa file first just in case...
