Default A brief explanation of licensing

Hi all,

I was wandering if someone could explain how licensing works?

We have a management server with an enterprise license. Does that mean we can manage as many firewalls as we want? Our boxes are Nokia, so I was wandering what the licensing is involved there? Do these need different licenses?

Kind regards

James

It really depends on the actual licensing strings. Can you post them in a reply?

No, there are no Check Point licensing differences because you're using a Nokia. Actually, Nokia gives you a lot of features that would require you to buy SecurePlatform Pro. You also get VRRP.

Even if your SmartCenter is able to manage an unlimited number of firewalls, each firewall still requires its own license.
