We have just upgraded our firewall from F55 to F65. Now our secureclients cannot connect to the new firewall as it returns an error message saying "vpn-1 gateway does not have enough remote access licenses". Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Can you confirm that is Secure Client or Secure Remote, I ask as a lot of people use them interchangably. When you did the upgrade, I am presuming that you used the Check Point NGX Upgrade/Export Tools to do this. Do you have all of the SecureClient licenses upgraded to NGX and attached to the SMARTCenter? This is usually what I forget to do

Hello, i recenly upgraded to R65 too, and some times y can connect to my checkpoint via securemote, but sometimes i canīt, and i get that same error. How can i check my licenses in smartupdate, i can see the licenses but i donīt exactly know if that licence has restrictions in remote access. thanx a lot for your help.

Would have been better starting a new thread. However you need to look for the CPVP-VSR- string in the license in SMARTUpdate. CPVP-VSR-250-NGX for instance limits to 250 Secure Remote. Look for what is in your license string.

In my case I have an unlimited gateway license, what allow me to have 5000 SecureRemote connections, however, Checkpoint did not include this feature on the gateway license. All I had to do to get this 5000 users license (CPVP-VSR-5000-NGX) was open an SR on User Center requesting it and they sent me the key.
