Default SecureClient License Count

A semi-official answer as to how SecureClient licenses are counted

Quote:
The SecureClient license are counted by the PolicyServer when clients download a policy. The count is per-user, per-OS, per-month (the counters are reset once a month). e.g. if you have a user that connects from his work laptop PC, then from his home desktop PC and then from his wifes' macosx, you'll get a count of 1 on the Windows license and 1 on the Macosx license. A user will never be denied a policy download, even if the license count is reached.
Another place where the lics are counted is on the gateway. We only count active concurrent connections and drop new connection if concurrency limit is reached. e.g. if you have 10 lics for Windows and 5 lics for Macosx only the 16th tunnel concurrently opened, never mind the OS, will be dropped.
