Hi there I have create the initial install of rules for the firewall there. These are the Firewall and DMZ admin rules, its taken me a bit longer as the new version would not accept a dump from an older version, so they have been created by hand, very slow. When I tried to install the rules I got a license error, as below, saying there was no firewall license. Also when I look in the license file it looks like it is only an Management license rather than a firewall module license as well. What u think could be the problem here? Thanks

Did you import the license from a file? The issue sounds like a reasonably common problem where the import process only grabs one part of the license - usually due to a corruption in the license file. Try adding your licenses manually.

Use Smart Update. There's a licenses tab and also a licenses menu. Use the tab to see you installed licenses, and use the menu to add, attach, detach, delete licenses. Once the licenses are in the repository, you'll need to attach them. You'll also need the text version of your license(s) from CP. If you haven't got that, log in to the CP Usercentre site and download it or get your suppliers to get it for you.

YES, your Check Point bundle license should contain two keys (one for firewall and one for mgt). Actually, the module (firewall) license will NOT be blinded to gateway automatically even it is a single (firewall + mgt server on the same machine) installation where the Management License will be added to your SmartCenter automatically thru the import from SmartUpdate. Go to License -> View Repository -> select the module license -> right click and attach to your firewall.
