Default Changing IP of SmartCenter Server

I have central licensing and need to move the SmartCenter to a new server. Since the licenses are tied to the IP address of the SmartCenter server, I know I need to go through the process of changing the IP address.

However, what is the IP address of the SmartCenter server?

On the new server, a Windows 2003 Server, there are two IP addresses associated with one network interface. I was thinking, why not make it three addresses and the new IP address will be for Checkpoint. Then if I need to move it again, I'll take along that IP address.

So, can any of the IP addresses assigned to the network interface be used for the licensing of Checkpoint? Is there some restriction, such as, it needs to be the first listed IP address?

I would like to know this before changing the IP address on the license. Thanks in advance for those who are in the know.

Default Re: Changing IP of SmartCenter Server

For checkpoint license , you can use any IP address assigned to the interface card since they are bind to single interface.
