Default How to license VPN?

Hello forum,
i need to know how vpn is licensed with checkpoint-products!

If i establish a single site-to-site tunnel between two gateways, do i need
- a one user license for one tunnel
- a XX user license where XX is the number of ip-adresses behind the vpn-gate

If i run a vpn-gate for partner-logins (star-topology) every partner peer must license a single vpn-tunnel (because it is ONE site to site from the partner view) and the center gateway must have a license dependent on how many partners connect to or how many ip-addresses connect in summary through all tunnels?

Kind regards

Default Re: How to license VPN?

It's not related to how many site-to-site tunnels you want to build.A license for single VPN-1 UTM gateway would be enough. You can build as much site-to-site tunnels you want If you want to use secureclient IPSEC VPN then its related to the amount of users. Check http://pricelist.checkpoint.com/newPL/index.asp.
Send a mail to CP, they will tell you exactly how it works with the licenses.
