Default License upgrade (NG to NGX)

Dear expert,

I'm considering to propose an upgrade to our customer next year on terms of hardware & software in order to improve their existing firewall. I'm propose to upgrade their Check Point NG AI R55 to NGX R61 version and this required a license upgrade from NG to NGX. Currently, they using their original licenses keys but one of their licenses are not the same license registered in their UserCenter as it bind to a different IP.

I read the NGX upgrade guide documents and it stated that, in order to upgrade the license locally, it needs an internet access in order to send the changes back to Check Point's UserCenter.

If I want to perform license upgrade (NG to NGX), will it cause any problem if one of the current license is not tally with the license registered in UserCenter?

Thanks in advance

Regards,

Al

Default Re: License upgrade (NG to NGX)

the license you are upgrading should be registered on the usercenter account you are using.

If license is registered on the usercenter account, but IP differs from the one its installed on now, you could via web change the ip# number license is registered on before proceeding with upgrade.
