Default Upgrade license Issue

Good Afternoon Ladies and Gents,
I have a question relating to the upgrading of our 4 firewalls from R55 (build 127) to NGX R60. I would like to do it 2 firewalls at a time but am concerned about licensing issues.
I have chosen to build the box on Splat and use upgrade_import tool to restore the current rule set and groups and so-forth.
I have performed this many times in testing, however when asked to upgrade the licenses during the import process, I have declined.
My question is this: Should I perform the upgrade_import and approve the upgrade of the licenses during that process, what happens if I have to go back to the old setup if something fails?
Would my Firewalls not accept incoming VPN connection attempts, etc as the license for the FW has been upgraded?
Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated.

IJ

Before you upgrade your licenses, make sure you download the current licenses. Then if you need them, you'll have them available.

That being said, the auto upgrade process has never worked for me. I always do it by hand in the usercenter.

100% agree with Jim. I'm a big fan of the DIY method here...plus allows you an easier rollback just in case.
