Default Central vs Local

Been looking thru some threads and need some clarification. We are going from local management to central management. Was looking at all the licences we have a wonder if we needed them set for local or central. After reading looks like central but would like opinions. Thanks for your time and look forward to your comments.

Default Re: Central vs Local

Central gives you more flexibility:

Quite simply your Smart Center holds the license repository, from where you can install the licenses onto the Enforcement Modules as required.

This is easier than attaching licenses to the Enforcement Modules and gives you more flexibility in that you can change the IP address of the enforcement modules without having to request a new license from Check Point.

You only need to specify the IP Address of your Smart Center Server for your license.

However, as you've realised you need to be fully sure of the transition process from Local to Central licensing.
