Default IPS-1 on VMware

Anyone tried it out ?
It seems like appliances are first time configured using the COM port.
So, anyone tried to link the VM serial port with the host port and had it working ?

Doesn't work. The VMWare "NIC" isn't supported

Works now though, but the software is still early availability only. It should release soon though, so stay tuned...

PS: VMware isn't for setting up actual sensors, it's just for lab use etc. If you want to have a production sensor, spring for some hardware. You can use your own with SPLAT.

why don't you just send the solution to the group when you find out?
search the web for vmware and emulating intel network cards...
It should work with the 5.0.6
wait for splat if you want it the easy way.

IPS-1 can be installed on VMware. You need to use the current VMWare and use VMWare Teaming. Will do up a document on how to do this.
