Default Evential Reporter on SmartCenter

Hello,

I am about to upgrade my R60 SmartCenter to R65. During the life of R60 I was testing Eventia and PowerPack that were installed on the same server.
Is it possible to remove/uninstall Eventia Reporter and PowerPack form SmartCenter before upgrade?
My suppot guys say I should build new server w/out these two packages, but I am wondering if upgrade_export from R60 with all these packages installed will work when I run upgrade_import on new box w/out these packages?
