| Has anyone else had an issue with R65 and a Dell Server? Or Broadcom NIC's? A VAR tech mentioned that Checkpoint doesn't work well with Broadcom NIC 's and that Intel NIC's should be used. link to other thread. R60-R65 upgrade ssl drop |

| I hope that's wrong given that Dell's come with two Broadcom NICs built in and the Dell 2950 is on the HCL. What symptoms would show up? "sk31652 - SecurePlatform hangs periodically" says what you mentioned about problems under load, chillyjim. It also says "The solution is to upgrade to Secureplatform NGX, where there is no issue with the Broadcom NICs. If that is not possible, then either use the single processor kernel, or use different NICs, such as Intel, with which the issue does not occur." Hopefully this is no longer an issue... | Rey, I don't know the details, just that I've been told not to use the on-board broadcomm NICs because the fail under load. It's never really been an issue for me, I've always had Intel ports to use as well. Both ports on the Dell's are now Broadcom? It uesd to be one Broadcom and one Intel. |

| As far as I know they're both Broadcom. I'll check in the morning. I was planning on using one as internal and one as external. There's only 10 M/bps of Internet bandwidth, so if it's a load issue I should be fine. Ray |
