Default R60 TO R62 migration. (Nokia).

I've got a Nokia IP 380 standalone running R60 and I'd like to copy the config on to a IP390 running R62 managed by SmartCenter, any ideas other than manually copying over?

Thanks in advance.

For the checkpoint config, you can use upgrade_export/import to do so.

But for nokia config, i think you need to config it manually.

Hi
Yes you can migrate from the old version R60 to R62.
You can take the backup of Checkpoint as well as Nokia.
First install the Image on Nokia if it is not installed on the box, import the Nokia box backup from the previous box then install the Checkpoint package and import the backup using the upgrade tools.

I hope this will help you.
If you need any further help you can ask me.

Regards
Ranjit

It is my understanding that you should NEVER import a config from one Nokia to another unless BOTH of these conditions are met: (this is from both Nokia and CP)
1) The exact same Model (IP350 to IP380 is not acceptable)
2) The exact same IPSO build (4.1 build xxx to build 4.1 xxy is not acceptable)

We've all felt this pain at one time or another and as much as it stinks, you should do Nokia config manually.
