Default Can NGX forward SMTP traffic in transparent mode?

I can successfully forward SMTP traffic to an appliance inside my network however I need checkpoint to send the traffic without adding itself to the header of the mail being forwarded. Is there a way to setup NGX to forward emails in transparent/pass-through mode?

if you disable the SMTP smart defense stuff and nat the internal appliance you can set the external address as your MX. Is that what you are asking?
