Default Hotfix supplements

Hi,

i am aware that hotfixes are including previous released hotfixes e.g. HFA03 includes HFA01 AND HFA02 so i don t need to install all but JUST the last one (HFA03)

i am wondering if the supplements are including the previous released supplements for the specific HFA or have to be considered separated patches

Thanks
Marco

You have to read the HFA release notes to see if a particular HF is in the HFA or not. It depends on timing and if its a general use HF or a customer HF among other things.

Uhm not clear,

how can be an HF included within an HFA if the HF is rreleased after ?

My question is regarding a Supplement released after the HFA (otherwise wouldn't be a supplement!!! isn't it??) has to be considered individually?

Sorry misunderstood you. HF's are normally rolled up to the next HFA.

Individual HF's you need to check the release notes for the requirements.

No problem,

actually i can t get a clear information about that,
for example i have to install one HF one after each other until the last one or the last one is normally including the previous supplement released as HFA does?
in the meanwhile just to be sure i'll install any supplement starting by the older to the newer one as i know R&% HFA are at 02 release (which includes HFA=+ as well) and supplement for HFA=" are 3 (01 02 03 ) which i ll install one after one

Most of the time, the latest HFA includes previous ones.
So HFA 03 should include HFA 02 and 01 fixes.

For special Hot fixes, as suggested by chillyjim, you should check release notes.

Don't mix up HFA [Hot Fix Accumulator] and individual hot fixes.

If Only it were that easy....

The problem that I've seen lately is certain builds being based on certain (different) HFA codes. Thus Messaging Security builds "claim" to be HFA03, but are not official HFA03 builds. The best bet is to always test that your fix actaully made the latest "HFA" or build, or raise a ticket to ensure that your issue is actually covered..... I've been caught many times by this before.

The other issue is that by the end of the product cycle, things seem to diverge quite dramatically. We saw it happen with R55 as well, with all the diversity in builds. Sadly, we seem to be in a similar place with R65 now. CP, please fix.
