Default Re: CP R62 cluster upgrade to R65 hfa02

Yes do the following.

1. Run a backup on the 2nd member with the backup command and this will allow you to create a cpbackup file.

2. Ftp this file off the machine using binary format

3. Put the R65 cd in the box and from expert mode type patch add cd to upgrade

4. Repeat the steps above on the primary

5 Please ensure that you upgrade your mgmt to R65 as well. The mgmt must be the same level or higher then firewall.

6. Change version on object to R65 in dashboard.

7. fetch topology again on the cluster object and make sure all of the cluster interfaces are correct. Please make sure you install HFA_02 and the 249 hotfix on all R65 boxes

8. Then reinstall your policy to the cluster.

The above assume's you have a change control window. If not the upgrade guide on Checkpoint.com has a few pointers. Please make sure the patches are the same on the cluster or you will have problems.
