| Hi All, I currently have the following issue after an attempted upgrade of a stand alone Windows 'SmartCenter only' server (R55 to R65). Any pointers would be appreciated... Upgrade of SmartCenter including the copy of logs via CD appeared to go ok, except when I came to install SmartConsole afterwards it complained of a lack of disk space. After clearing some of the R55 logs the installation of the smartconsole also appeared to complete sucessfully and I rebooted the server. When attempting to kick off the dashboard locally I get the 'Connection can not be initiated.' but I had have added both local host address and interface address to the client list. The server is not listening on 18190 and cpstat mg gives the following... Product Name: Check Point SmartCenter Server Major version: 6 Minor version: 0 Build number: 620000083 Is started: 0 Active status: standby Connected clients ---------------------------------------------- |Client type|Administrator|Host|Database lock| ---------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------- the last entry in fwm.elg shows... [FWM 756 1824]@XXXX[11 Mar 12:47:48] FWM: Tue Mar 11 12:47:48 2008 fwm_create_application_table: failed to update object applications Failed to init CPMI I suspect the issue is with the disk space during the installation of smartcentre because there are still R55 folders and are still populated with database and configuration info. The relevant R65 folders also exist and the database and confilg have seemed to been copied over. Questions: Am I able to correct the error? If not, am I able to reinstall of smartcenter - It currently appears greyed out when I try another install from the CD? If not, is it likely that an upgrade-export would work at this point. I have run it once and finishes but there are a few of 'It might be a problem!' messages in the logging - is this normal on a typical installation? Thanks in advance, Mark. |

| Hello again, Solved problem by rebuilding R55 smartcentre and trying upgrade again. i.e. saving the following R55 folders... $FWDIR/conf $FWDIR/database $CPDIR/conf $CPDIR/database and HKLM/SOFTWARE/CHECKPOINT/SIC Rebuilt server including R55 smartcentre and then restoring above. Completed upgrade to R65 without copying logs. Cheers, Mark. |
