Default Remote Upgrade
I am a Check Point newbie so I apologize if this is a dumb question. I need to upgrade our SPLAT NGX R60 firewall to R65. Is it possible to perform the upgrade remotely? I was planning on using Putty to ssh into the firewall and perform the upgrade by copying the .iso image to the firewall and then mounting the image and running patch add cd. Is this possible to do remotely or will I loose connectivity during the upgrade process?

Please read the upgrade manual, you can upgrade remote using your management station(smartview update). But before upgrading always make sure you have a recent backup and know how to restore it. Also make sure that before you upgrade the fw you have the new license.
