Default Adding New Network Card R61

HI,

Can any one please help me to resolve the following issue.

We have two HP servers installed with linux Splat operating system with NGX R61 Cluster operating in active active state. Our servers are having a two network cards with 2 interfaces each. Now we need to upgrade it with the four port gigabit card. we are planning to upgrade it with NC340T four port gigabit card - the HCL states they are compatible with R61, which we have.

Now my question is after we install the new card will the R61 detects the card and allow the traffic on the new card interfaces or do we need to make any license or configuration changes before installing the card.

I am trying to implement this on a production environment. please advice me with your views and advices.

Regards,
Prasanth.Ch

Default Re: Adding New Network Card R61

I would make a note of the settings for the interfaces, specifically any anti-spoofing settings.

I would then remove the box to be upgraded from the cluster, install the card, and update the topology settings after the box comes back up, test connectivity from the box to the local interfaces, and then readd to the cluster.
