Default cpinst error: initial config after install on nokia IPSO4.2

Hi
Just installed on a nokia appliance and the next step is to run cpconfig to complete the initial config before installing the smartcentre on the management box.
However when I run it i get the following

cpinst Error: Host name resolution for "platform name" failed
Local hostname resolution is required for normal VPN-1 operation
Please correct this error and run cpstart again: use "Voyager -> Cofigure -> Host Address Assignment" and make an entry for the "platform name"

I have NGX R65 installed. Using IPSO 4.2 on a nokia appliance IP390. THe management station is a windows 2003server.

I understand the hit is in the error, but I've been through the voyager and cannot find what they are suggesting I look for to correct the issue.

Thanks, and please go easy on me... I'm new to this kit.

Hi there,

It should be "Configuration-->System Configuration-->Host address"
Here you enter the name of the firewall and the IP address that will
be assigned as an External interface.

After that, you can run "cpconfig". Life will be good after that.

Thanks for the quick reply, however I forgot one important piece of information. I have a clustered pair of appliances.
There is a note on the screen you mentioned that it will only effect the local appliance and not the cluster. Although I have the cluster up and running can I assume that each individual node has to have a hostname set here also?

Thanks again

YES. cluster has nothing to do with the hostname defined in voyager.
those hostname should be defined with the physical ip address of the box.
