Default New install with dynamic IP on ISP

IPSO 4.1, CP62, standalone install (in a lab).

I got the Nokia setup so it can handle the DHCP assigned address on the outside interface. the problem is if the address changes, I have to go into the firewall object and do a "get topo", then push policy.

My FW general properties tab does not have the "dynamic address" check box.
PS: My firewall object IP is not the outside IP.

I notice when I create a new VPN-1 power gateway, I see the choice for "dymanic address".

check point User center docs talk about being asked if this is a dynamic gateway when I installed the software, but I don't recall seeing it.

When I installed, I don't think the Nokia even had an IP setup on the outside interface because my Topo would not list the interface until I plugged it into a network with a DHCP server.

is there anyway to set this up on the Checkpoint after the software had been installed and is up and running?

Default Re: New install with dynamic IP on ISP

I am told you can't do this in a stand alone setup.
