| I am looking to upgrade an NGX R61 Smatcenter and gateway module to NGX R65 on the same hardware using an in place upgrade via the SPLAT web front end. The upgrade section asks for the "upgrade package" I have downloaded the NGX R65 upgrade package in ISO format from the Checkpoint Website. Is the ISO image the package it refers to or do I have to extract and find this Last edited by andypilk; 2007-09-10 at 07:41. |

| Assuming you have physical access to the SPLAT box, the easiest thing to do is burn a CD from the ISO and put it in the box. From the command line you then: patch add cd and it will upgrade the system |

| Also, very easy for remote upgrades using SSH. This is the way I have done all my remote upgrades.. I have an ftp server (really just a PC) that I use to hold the files I need to get to remote boxes.. Just bring it up when needed and shut it off when not needed. Connect using SSH use this command (or SSH session will die during ftp download) idle 999 go to expert mode.. ftp get the file to a work directory under VAR on the SPLAT box.. mount -o loop /var/NGX-R65/CP-NGX-R65-CD1.iso /mnt/cdrom patch add cd answer questions.. on screen... reboot and upgraded..
