| I just installed an eval copy of Splat NGX. I have the internal interface connected to my LAN (static IP), and the external interface connected to the Internet (Dynamic IP). Ive connected to the FW via dashboard and am kind of stuck where to go next. I believe I need to do the following: 1. Create a NAT for Internal to the Internet 2. Add some rules to permit outbound connectivity Is this correct? If so, Im not sure how the NAT should look. Any help would be great. Thanks |

| I figured it out (well, I did some reading on Checkpoint). Here is what I had to do: 1. Defined my internal network in dashboard 2. right-click on new network, edit - NAT tab 3. NAT tab - click add translation rules, hide behind gateway, done 4. Dashboard adds NAT rules automatically Prior to this, I checked my routing via the web interface. I never had to add a default route, it seems as thought the FW did this on its own. |
