Default Network Cards?

I'm new to the checkpoint and have have two VPN-1/Firewall-1 boxes running on a couple of Dell PowerEdge 1850's. What are the limitations on hardware? Can i simply add another network card or two and the firewall will find it and there i have my extra nic? Right now each server has the 2 onboard nic's and I'm thinking about changing topology a bit and having an active active cluster with DMZ..requiring 3 network interfaces in each server.

OK the only question I don't have answered yet is:
Can i just add a supported card and the firewall will see it and away I go. Or are there licensing that I need to buy to make it work?

No licensing issues. You may have some config issues once you add the nic. I've heard of nics renumbering once you add a card, but that may be an R55 issues as I've never actually seen it.

Otherwise it may see your card but might not bring the interfaces up right away. You should be able to configure them with sysconfig, or you may have to manually bring up the interface first.

Recommended to have 4 interfaces (WAN, Internal, DMZ & Sync) for performance, security & stability.
