| Hi, I'm trying to upgrade the backup SPLAT server from NGR55 AI to NGX R62. The SPLAT server is in another country therefore I cannot put the CD in the drive so I have copied the entire CD contents to the /sysimg directory on the remote server. I then try to run the upgrade using the command "patch add /full_path/CPsupgrade_R62.tgz " Am I doing this wrong? the upgrade begins but then very quickly halt with the below error message. You are in expert mode now. | Hi, your NGX R55 you want to upgrade is a SmartCenter (alone), a Gateway (remotely managed by another SmartCenter) or a stand alone fw (E.g. SmartCenter with Gateway on same machine) __________________ tHeInDiAn |

| Sorry I should have mentioned that. It is a standalone smart centre. we have 6 gateways running on Nokia IPSOs and 2 smart centre servers running on Secure platform set up in H.A. I have upgraded the primary but I am struggling to get the upgrade to run on the secondary which is at a remote site. I think i may have to copy the files as an ISO image to the remote box and then nmount it as a CDROM. I will try that and postback if it works or not. | Ok I did mount -o loop NGX.iso /mnt/cdrom then ran patch add cd. It starts up successfully - goes through the license upgrade then fails at the point when it should detect the checkkpoint products installed. No error message just installation / upgrade failure. |
