Upgrading R55 HFA8 to HFA19

Hi .

i have 12 checkpoint firewalls that are spread across the world , they all concetrate to one managment .

Due to the daylight saving time changes i guess i will have to update to HFA19 , my question is :

Can i upgrade some of my FireWallas without upgrading the managmnet ?
If i have to upgrade the managment to HFA19 and some of the fw`s will it effect the other fw`s that were not upgraded ?

you should always upgrade mgmt first. If you do that your lower version firewalls will still function fine and be manageable as before.

Hi danzaka, I agree with abusharif, Management 1st, then they can still manage the enforcement modules on a lower version, not the other way round.

I agree... I just did this the other day, except it was from HFA15 & HFA17 to HFA19. Quick and painless. Good Luck.
