Default New and current smartcenter on same subnet

Hi,

If i placed a new smartcenter and current smartcenter on same subnet (both policy and config are same but different version, NG FP2 and NGX R61), my current running NG gateways will communicate with the new one or keep to communicate with the current one.

If i don't install any policy on the new smartcenter, it won't cause any problem?

I will replace the gateways later but just put the new smartcenter on production network first.

Hi there,

smartcenter doesnt care if its on the same subnet as another subnet and gateways dont care if there 1500 smartcenters behind it. It only cares about smartcenter that you initialize trust/sic to.

You also dont install policy on smartcenter, you just have your policy configuration there but its installed on the gateway(s)

Also, is it affect my NG FP2 secondary management server? As i afraid it will synchronise the rules to it?
