| Hello all ;) I am currenty trying ti install the HFA04 on a IP265 with Ipso 4.1. I have found several threads on this Forum but so far nothing worked for me ;( The CP Knowledgebase wasn´t helpful for me either. I have tried installing with the UnixInstallScript and without it. I made sure that the Simlink 5.0 is pointing to the R60 Folder. I uninstalled all packages, installed R60 again and did a cpconfig and tried again, resulting in the same error. I hope someone can give me a tip/hint ;) Here are the error messages: Quote:

I've been trying for a couple of months to get this patch installed with no luck. I've even blown the whole IP265 away (i.e. BOOTMGR> install) installed NGX, then HFA3, then tried HFA4 and can't get it to work. I've heard that some have had success doing the following: Install HFA3 Turn on PCMCIA memory card Install Checkpoint's bootstrap fix Install HFA4. Good luck. I'd like to know if you get it installed.

Thanks for your reply ;) What Ipso are you running on that 265? I am currently running 4.1.016. It would be helpful to know if anyone else managed to install HFA04 on a IP265 and if so, what Ipso he had.

Hi, I have an IP265 with Compact flash for CP packages, these ip265 have serious issues with installing any HFA. From the research I did concerning this issue. 1. Install NGX R60, Make sure your using the flash based packages from CP. file should be called fw1_R60_591000437_1_IPSO.tgz 2. Then upgrade to NGX R60 HFA_04. According to the release notes for HFA_04 special instructions for installation on a flash based system. Prerequisites for Nokia IP265 Machines are • Install the latest NGX R60 bootsrap script. Perform the installation according to the instructions in sk31660. • IP265 Flash-based machine with an external flash (optional disk) that has been configured for type "Packages". 3. Well it's part of step 2, but I decided to add it here just in case. So before the HFA_04 gets installed you have to install the boot strap fix before HFA_04. 4. With optional disk enabled for packages. 5. At this point all we should have to do is install the HFA_04, making sure you are using this VPN-1_R60_HFA_04_wrapper.ipso.tgz This has worked always worked for me, some people i notice have a problem doing this. I hope this helps others.

It works now, thanks for all your help! Here is what I have done: - Fresh install of Ipso 4.1.016 - Install of R60 for IP265 (no cpconfig afterwards, no activation of flash card either) - ln -sf fw1_R60_591000xxx_1_IPSO.tgz CPsuite.tgz in /preserve/opt/packages/installed - Install Bootstrap following SK31660 exactly ! (at the end of this the flash-card in finally enabled forpackages) - Install R60HFA04 following the special instructions for Flash-Based platform in "r60_04_hfa-rn-pdf"

Yeah, I got it working too. But after all that trouble I decided to replace IP265 internal Compact flash card with bigger one. Works very well, no more trouble with disk space.
