how to disable checkpoint snmpd read/write in NGX?

All,
I have both Nokia snmp (udp port 161) and checkpoint snmpd (udp port 260)
running on my Nokia IP560 box with IPSO 4.1 build 19 and NGx R61 with
HFA_01. Both checkpoint and nokia snmpd are working fine.

the problem with checkpoint snmpd is that I would like to disable the checkpoint
read/write community altogether. That can be done on the nokia but I do not
know how to do that in Checkpoint.

I have a gateway cluster and I modified the $FWDIR/conf/snmp.C file to place
the "read" community; however, if I leave the "write" community as (),
the default community string will be "private".

How do I disable the checkpoint read/write community feature in NGx?
