Default Upgrade from R60 to R61

Recently went through the Smartcenter Management upgrade of R60 to R61 on Win2003

Went well except for the Smartdefense portion. After upgrade Smartdefense trys to upgrade along with Web Intelligence but errors out with a

Internal Error: Failed to delete Database Object SSL_TUNNELING Object Deletion Failed
Internal Error: Failed to perform action 'override' on SSL_Tunneling at protocols in file 'object_updates.C

Seems like a buggy Smartdefense upgrade. Anyone come across this??

Hi Dude,

did you ever find a solution for this problem except to do the same with the SSL_TUNNELING section in $FWDIR/conf/objects_5_0.C as mentioned in #sk32029 for VNC_PROTO?

Kind regards
wuschel

yes thats common.

Check your defined services which has protocol type "SSL_Tunneling". Change these to NONE, update then smartdefense, and change back to SSL tunneling = done.

I am using NGX R65 and I had a similar problem with the update_objects.C file. The error message I received was a little different since it referred to TELNET_PROTO.

I edited the Telnet object in services and changed the Protocol Type to None. Smart Defense updated normally after that.

Thanks abusharif!!
