Default Help with HFA install

I needed help with installing the Hotfix on my firewall.
Any instructions or docs would be appreciated.
Thanks.

See readme (release notes) for your HFA, all information about installation exists in it.

This is the HFA file:
fw1_R60_HFA_01.ipso.tgz

I got it on my fms and run

[fms]# tar zxpfv fw1_R60_HFA_01.ipso.tgz
fw1_HOTFIX_R60_01_591601011_5

gzip: stdin: invalid compressed data--format violated
tar: Unexpected EOF in archive
tar: Unexpected EOF in archive
tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now

What happened here? I got the file but that's my installing...

[fms]# ./fw1_HOTFIX_R60_01_591601011_5: cannot execute binary file
bash: bash:: command not found

Where can I get the release notes for the HFA.

Also, where do I download the latest HFAs from?

Thanks

It looks like problem with corrupted archive. Check md5sums on CP site and from your file.

Last HFA you can find on http://www.checkpoint.com/downloads/...power.html#r60

For example, can I install the latest hotifx HFA3 before installing the previous hotfixes?

I got a new firewall and it does not come with any hotfixes installed and I was wondering if I can do that?

Thanks.

You can install only last HFA after fresh installing CP. It's a usual way for update. Last HFA includes all previous fixes in itself. I think I understand your question rightly.
