| Hi Gurus, I can connect using the GUI from a windows box, however, Im getting this after installing to Suse 10 OSS: linux:~ # cpstart cpstart: Power-Up self tests passed successfully cpstart: Starting product - SVN Foundation SVN Foundation: cpWatchDog already running SVN Foundation: cpd already running SVN Foundation started cpstart: Starting product - FireWall-1 cat: /proc/ksyms: No such file or directory FireWall-1: Cannot find kernel module /etc/fw.boot/modules/fwmod.2.6.x.o FireWall-1: Failed cpstart: Starting product - UserAuthority Server Unable to open '/dev/uag0': No such file or directory UAG module: Can't open UAG deviceUserAuthority: 'netsod drv on' Failed Would appreciate any help on this. | Hi winsoc, SuSE is not a supported OS, you should consider using RedHat Enterprise Linux 3 or SecurePlatform, which is available for free if you are a Check Point customer. Because Check Point heavily relys on specific kernel versions with specific build options it is very unlikely to get it working in a reliable way with non supported kernels (especially heavily modified kernels like the ones of SuSE, etc.). Besides the technical difficulties you would not get support for your enviornment by Check Point and most likely by any reseller/service provider too. But that's just my recommendation.. :-) Regards, simon |
