Hi Gurus,

Im getting this after installing to Suse 10 OSS:

cpstart: Starting product - SVN Foundation

SVN Foundation: cpWatchDog already running
SVN Foundation: cpd already running
SVN Foundation started

cpstart: Starting product - FireWall-1

cat: /proc/ksyms: No such file or directory
FireWall-1: Cannot find kernel module /etc/fw.boot/modules/fwmod.2.6.x.o
FireWall-1: Failed

cpstart: Starting product - UserAuthority Server

Unable to open '/dev/uag0': No such file or directory
UAG module: Can't open UAG deviceUserAuthority: 'netsod drv on' Failed

Would appreciate any help on this.

Hi winsoc,

SuSE is not a supported OS, you should consider using RedHat Enterprise Linux 3 or SecurePlatform, which is available for free if you are a Check Point customer.

Because Check Point heavily relys on specific kernel versions with specific build options it is very unlikely to get it working in a reliable way with non supported kernels (especially heavily modified kernels like the ones of SuSE, etc.).

Besides the technical difficulties you would not get support for your enviornment by Check Point and most likely by any reseller/service provider too.

But that's just my recommendation.. :-)

Regards,
simon
