Default How to transfer policy from one host to his spare host ?

Initial Host:
**********
Nokia ip350 + IPSO + Checkpoint R55 (Enforcement module + Smartcenter Server)

Dashboard GUI host: windows laptop

Spare Host:
*********
Dell 2850 + SPLAT + Checkpoint R55 (Enforcement module + Smartcenter Server)

IP configuration of the two hosts are completely identical (same number of network cards, ip adresses, routes, static arp entries ...).

MY PROBLEM:
I would like to load the policy of the initial host in the spare host.
I have understood that I should use upgrade_export on my windows laptop connected to the initial host and then use upgrade_import on my laptop connected to the spare host. Is that right ? I am completely lost...

Thank you in advance.

upgrade_export and upgrade_import are commands from SmartCenter, not GUI host.

easy export import from a rulebase
