Feedback Required: Policy and Objects migration/merge functions

Hi, Everybody

I was wondering about different cases/scenarios for the usage of policy merge/migration tools, for instance, cp_merge or Objects Filler/Dumper.

What are the most common cases?
What kind of functions are required, but, currently not available?
What other tools are available for CP/other vendors.
