Am I the only one getting frustrated by the not infrequent down time at SK?

Particularly when you're trying to look for help on an error you have right now, affecting service....

The SecureKnowlege is currently undergoing system maintenance.

We apologize for the inconvenience.

I don't know what they're doing over there but it's already more then an hour down....
That's a serious maintenance.

Glad to see I wasn't the only one cursing at Checkpoint's 'unavailible' knowledgebase this afternoon. Doesn't show them in a particularly good light especially as they seem to make a major marketing play on the product availibilty angle. I ended up comming straight to cpug to search for a solution.

Yes, I tried that, but unfortunately the problems I'm having are GX-related.

Even SK is pretty thin on the ground with GX - there's still not that many of us out there with experience on that, so you don't see much discussion about it.

It was down at least all afternoon today and is still down. Grrrrrrrrrr.

I could get logged in this afternoon but all queries gave the "unavailable' message. Now it just returns a 404.

So I decide to work around their DNS issues by putting entries in my hosts file after getting them from their authoritative server with the most current serial number.

If I query SK for a non-advanced query, it works.

If I try any type of Advanced search, I get

---------------------
SecureKnowledge Help An Error Has Occurred

The SecureKnowledge server is temporarily unavailable.
Please try your search again later.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. We are currently working on the problem and should have the server back online momentarily.

Thank you for your patience.

My patience is growing as thin as my hair.
